Learning Path
What Is a Learning Path?
A Learning Path is a guided sequence of lessons and coding challenges. It helps a learner move through a topic step by step instead of solving unrelated challenges one at a time.
Each learning path can contain:
- Lessons with theory, explanations, and questions.
- Challenges that reinforce the lesson topic.
- Required challenges that count toward path completion.
- Optional challenges that provide extra practice.
- Progress tracking so learners can continue where they left off.
How Learners Use Learning Paths
Learners can browse community learning paths from Explore Learning Paths, copy a path into their own account, and work through lessons at their own pace. When a learner opens a lesson, DojoCode tracks their lesson conversation, challenge completion, and overall path progress.
If a learner already solved a challenge before starting the path, DojoCode can count that challenge as completed in the path without awarding duplicate path XP.
Visibility
Learning paths can be:
- Private: visible only to the owner.
- Community: visible on Explore Learning Paths after publishing, so other users can copy it.
Published paths become read-only until the owner marks them as draft again.
For Authors
Anyone can create a private learning path draft. Authors can add lessons, write theory, add questions, attach challenges, choose which challenges are required, reorder content, and publish the path when it is ready.
See Learning Path Curation for the full authoring guide.
